Female Roes get the absolute worst from both the "ugly pig not feminine" and "I want her to step on me" groups in pretty much every FF community I'm part of. I had a friend fantasies just because they were tired of people in any FC they joined being horny on main about their heavily armored cool looking character.

Fun Shoe
I finally assembled my glamour plate psuedo-randomizer and I'm very happy with it! Here's what I've done:

I primarily play 5 jobs, one of each combat role type, and have given each of them 4 glamour plates. I set aside 5 of my hotbars for this, and uhh like 50 macro slots. This left me the 3 hotbars I need for job actions with 2 hotbars spare I'm filling with my favorite emotes. Hotbar 4 is my "receiver" hotbar and Hotbars 5-8 are "feeders." On each of hotbars 5-8 I have macro buttons for job change to each of my 5 primary jobs, job change to Botanist, Sprint, Mount Roulette, the car mount, Teleport, Return, and Limit Break. You could put in whatever there of course, particularly in place of Limit Break; the point is that these are buttons I will hit very frequently. Hotbars 5-8 are invisible on my HUD.

Each of the five combat job change macro buttons on let's say Hotbar 5 looks like this:

/gearset change [gear set number for job in question, say DRK] [# of 1st of the job's glamour plates]
/hotbar copy share [#] share 4

The non-combat job macros just have the basic code to do their thing, like /ac "Sprint", and then the /hotbar copy share [#] share 4 line. I also set in random title change and minion change but that's not important.

Hotbars 6-8 have the same contents as 5, in the same places, but iterating the two ""#" entries, meaning the job glamour plate number and the first hotbar share number. The macro that changes me to DRK w/ glam 1, for example, is set to hotbar 5, and when executed copies the contents of hotbar 6 into hotbar 4. The version of the DRK change macro that was in hotbar 6 changes me to DRK w/ glam 2, and then copies the contents of hotbar 7 into hotbar 4. And so on. Likewise, whenever I Sprint or Mount Roulette, the contents of the next hotbar in the 5-8 sequence are quietly, invisibly copied over hotbar 4.

In this way, with simple code but an admittedly large number of spare hotbars and macro spots, I get "randomized" glamour plates whenever I change among my five favorite jobs! Provided I'm in a sanctuary, of course. No, it is not truly random, but the point is that because the contents of hotbar 4 quietly, invisibly change not just every time I job change but every time I use very common actions - particularly Sprint and Mount Roulette - I mostly cannot keep track of which hotbar copy step I'm on, and am therefore effectively surprised at which glam I get when I job change. One could also intentionally increase the complexity of the set up to confuse the self further and increase "randomness" if one made it so that say the Sprint chain goes through the hotbars 5-6-7-8 but the Mount Roulette chain goes 5-7-6-8 and the Teleport chain 8-7-5-6 and so forth.

I hope this light effort post helps someone.

Upon further inspection Starlight morning, the "Saint of Nymea" turns out to be Gilgamesh, staggering around with a hammer embedded in his skull and an empty sack that used to contain everyone's weapons from the nearby town. Hildibrand puts the pieces together and vows to apprehend the culprit who assaulted such an important icon of festivity, even though he IS family.

XIV is the first MMO where I picked a female character ever (unless you count my silent armored Destiny 2 hunter). All my WoW peeps were guys, and in the EQ era of gender binaries and gullible dreamers I used to be one of those guys who thought playing Not Your Gender was odd and 95% likely to be a trick to flirt free poo poo from desperate loners. It was a different time.

I also avoided FF11 for the lack of Mithra men, and only picked up XIV ARR's trial weekend when someone was like "yes, they did indeed make catboys."

I think they did that for the very first few holiday items, before they started selling the the "authentic" versions on the cash shop a year later, so I doubt we're going to see that again.
