I think he won't bring back anyone that's had actual legal consequences against them that could come back on him. While the others killed their careers, even in RWM, and have become pariahs, Jones is looking down the barrel at $1.5 billion and I think it's made people like Musk and Thiel think twice. I think more so for someone like Musk who on paper is worth $171 billion, he's not and this is mostly due to the extreme overvaluation of Tesla stock, that if he had a similar judgement dropped on him, he would not be able to just write a check for $1.5 billion. It's very obvious that Musk cares about keeping up this charade so it's probably the one thing he cares about. Thiel is also worth around $4 billion so I'm sure he's blocked Jones and associates since the judgement was dropped.

Probably more of an issue that they have to have somebody who's "the guy who went over the line" and it may as well be Jones. If they had known about the incoming Kanye meltdown they might have reconsidered and made him the guy, but yeah, there's hardly any upside for them in letting Jones back on.

Jones, while a white nationalist, Christian identity fascist, is kind of tame compared to some of those people. I don't think Musk is even vetting people other than maybe a few high profile people. He's fired so many people that they probably just let back in everyone but the small list Musk personally made.

Trans people simply existing was a hilarious punchline, and in many movies would have some sort of violence or hate crime done against them for "tricking" people. I think it's that society has changed to be slightly more tolerant towards transfolk, so transfolk are able to be more visible, and these people in question just didn't change alongside it.

Yeah I'm not a brain expert but imo on it's base level it's just a dislike of what's unfamiliar. You didn't grow up with it the way you grow up with other races and (at least my school) learning some very basic anti racist messaging. We were an easy punching bag until fairly recently and lots of people really don't want to adjust their core beliefs around ingroups and outgroups when confronted by it. Terfbrain the way it happened with Linehan, Rowling, etc is a distinct phenomenon where you might be nominally pro queer but post some mildly anti trans thing. You get a lil bit of pushback and double down and then also find yourself getting radicalized by a bunch of terf freaks online who tell you you're cool and smart and right. They deliberately recruit people. Edit: and to further to emphasize the punching bag point: I remember Josh Androsky back in 2017, iirc back then he was leadership in LA DSA, tweeting that we should welcome terfs if they're really good organizers. Several semi big lefty twitter people who boosted jesse singal articles. My personal theory is that gender identity is one of those things that cuts across many forms of informal discrimination. I'm reminded of when RL Stephens guested and talked about how overcoming de jure racism didn't protect him from his racist boss at his lovely restaurant job, and the existing system doesn't provide any means to address that. I think I was part of the last generation for whom it was "common sense" that if you dress weird, dye your hair, or have visible tattoos and piercings, you'll never hold down a decent job. I wouldn't compare the anti-goth discrimination I suffered to racism, but what if these things are part of your gender identity? Even if your local gov't or your employer have explicit policies to protect you, what about the potentially decades-long period before you figure that out and come out as trans? Until then you're just presenting as a nonspecific weirdo and have no protection. The only answer to these problems is a socialist system built around guaranteeing the dignity of every individual, e.g. guaranteed healthcare and employment, which is a bridge too far for a lot of people, including affluent liberals. Also, if you're just an amoral piece of poo poo, it's relatively easy to hate on a minority that's a fraction of a percent of the population.
