Wildcat gun Machine is the most 6.5/10 game I've ever played, and has an amazingly dumb disconnect between the player avatar as it's seen in the game, and every other representation of it.

UT2k4 was one of the first games I remember getting proper into, never played "competitively" or anything, but I had a lot of fun shooting around with bots and a bunch of mutators

Even if the oldunreal master servers work, it effectively kills multiplayer for all but the most dedicated players - you will have to start messing with your client to redirect it at the new masters, which most people are not going to do. Sucks that Epic is a small company that doesn't have the funding to keep these old master servers running.

It's enough of a barrier to make people not want to play, in my experience.

You don't have to edit an INI if you're using the OldUnreal patch, it does it for you. So it's really a case of "install this, then this and you're good".
