I basically lived on teewurst when I was in Germany so yeah, I'd have gone to town on this. Spreadable meat is a good snack.

In most of Europe calling a meat spread pate would mostly imply that it isn't stored/refined in a sausage casing and that it uses a french style flavour profile and grind level. But no actual PDO, that would apply for stuff like (cityname) pate.

Pretty much every grocery store sells an in-house made version of this, and while it's never great? Sometimes it just hits right. Making it at home is the pro-move though.
