terraforming planets is dumb because its way way cheaper and easier to just go transhumanism and have cyborg bods that survive whatever new niche you need. also probably better from a multi planet GDP pov to use Mars as a low pressure/atmosphere sandbox with gravity instead of turning it into a worse earth.
