Can't wait to play Hades 2: Lades. I'm guessing from the last line in the trailer that the replay mechanic this time is Chronos causing some kind of time loop. I wonder how they're gonna characterize Chronos. First game was ultimately about a broken family getting back together through the uncovering of secrets so it's likely that the nature of Hades's upbringing (and how that might reflect on his relationship to his own kids) will be an important thematic point. "Chronos has escaped, go kick his rear end" is also a pretty simple plot (even somewhat of a cliché in modern works) so there's room to give the narrative a bit more depth.

Give yourself a bunch of darkness & keys to unlock mirror stuff. The biggest damage upgrade in the game is Fated Persuasion -- picking good boons & synergies is worth more than the alt weapons or titan blood upgrades. I kinda agree that I'm not sure I want Hades 2 to have the same depth of grind as 1. Like, Hades was the perfect game for 2020 because of how much you could just keep playing it and press fast forward on life. But I'm not sure I want to do that same thing again. (OTOH the early game when you don't have all the control abilities is also kinda fun because you get variety and have to make do with bad builds most of the time. Once persuasion is fully upgraded it's easy to get in a couple of ruts around power combos.)

I like the game but feel like after a certain point as a not-amazing player it starts to feel like the whole game is just a half-hour/hour lead-up to fighting Hades and mostly everything revolves around if you walk into the fight with him with a full set of death defiances. Would be nice if Hades 2 could shake up this feeling a bit, but not really sure what and of course the trailer also looks to be framing the whole game as another lead-up to fighting the same guy over and over.

Artemis is my absolute favorite of the Hades 1 pantheon and I really hope she is in Hades 2. It is a true joy to swing a huge sword around and then scream " big crits" IRL as four digit numbers pop up over your enemy's corpses.

With Apollo confirmed for Hades 2, it would be really weird if his twin sister wasn't in it also. It was already weird that Artemis came without her brother in the first game. They confirmed that at least some Olympians would return, naming Zeus as one. If their titan dad was the big antagonist, it would make sense that Zeus and Poseidon return. But that only makes Artemis' return more likely, since there should be a ton of fun interactions with her twin brother.

Following that logic that also makes Demeter along with maybe Hera and Hestia more likely since those all were directly involved in the Titanomachy. I don't know if we should expect all of the first game's Olympians to come back - it might increase the amount of work needed on balance, voicelines, etc. too much - but OTOH they're all pretty popular with fans so any of them could conceivably be there.
