She was 16 when she died, only started getting frail in her last year, and was on heart medication for a bad murmur since she was 6. Just a little note for anyone freaking out that their young dog has a murmur. It's very treatable, and your lovely doggie can live an absolutely full and normal life with one.

My Stepmother had an abusive POS for a husband who wouldn't let her do much of anything but then he hosed off and fell into a ditch or whatever, then she married my Dad this fall, and now that they're settled down they're talking about getting what she's wanted absolutely forever, a little wiener dog just like this.  Gonna hide treats in my pockets and make him my best friend.

That's actually one of the easiest ways to tell a glass lizard from a snake! Glass lizards (linked for being snakelike) have earholes  They can also chew and blink, which snakes can't do. I'm not sure on earless monitors, just assume their earholes aren't visible. I think glass lizards are pretty cute but here's an extra cute just in case:
