That's like how (as I understand it) in Korea it's popular to get a bowl of shishito peppers as an appetizer; about 7 out of 8 of them are nice and sweet and not hot at all, but then there's the eighth one that is like OH GOD DAMMIT gently caress while everyone else laughs at you

I think they tweaked this over time. The first bag of these where I got the spicy bois gave me the sweats but a while later a different bag just had pleasingly hot chips.
