You know what I miss from a few pages back? Boomers talking about how much they love Song of the South. Here's a longform essay no one should ever read posted as a promoted thing on FB. One thing I found pretty interesting is the Black Film Scholar engages a lot with the boomers who want a black person to certify it isn't racist to like this movie, and pretty much all of their replies assert they are a "black film scholar," so I think they're relying heavily on people assuming that means they are a "black, film scholar."  and here's some boomers in the comments

I completely understand why the racist stuff could fly over a kid's head, and Disney trying to extract as much of the musical numbers and cartoon segments from it for reuse decades after they vaulted Song of the South speaks to the production quality. So I am a pretty observant Christian, and I am able to remember my major religious holidays without public spaces having religious displays and sales personnel being instructed to remind me of my major religious holidays. Also, I am a complete idiot, so I think all of us Christians can manage to remember Christmas! A good place to get updates on upcoming Christian holidays is church, not the grocery store.
