It's up on YouTube now. He really wants to get it but the goblins (the ones in his head, not the ones in-game) were preventing that. I think he was sorta close, like he wanted it to be more like an rts but mostly he wasn't seeing things get done. I missed the first half but he wasn't clearing alerts/notifications and that might've helped as new poo poo popping up would've been more obvious. He might be able to defeat this goblin eventually but it's a doozy so maybe not. He might have more luck when adventurer mode comes out.

It's mildly impressive that after years of people wanting Bayo 3, the biggest reaction I've seen from it are fans going, "okay, yeah, I think I'm good now." Which makes that upcoming Bayonetta Origin game extra funny

man, as basic as steam df's visuals are, I still like them way more than rimworld's aesthetic, can barely stomach looking at rimworld for more than a minute. how did pat feel about it? edit: skimmed around a bit and hopped right to a point where he was like "oh I definitely like rimworld better than dwarf fortress" so I guess that's that. a chat comment made a good point that they were able to more easily handle df after playing rimworld for a long time, so that might be a better way in to df for him. df is just the most fascinating thing and every few posts is an incredible tale of failure or hilarious catastrophe in the df thread ever since the steam release. it'd be great if he could ever get to that point, but I guess it's not for him. what gets me is how Platinum basically cheated to put Viola in the driver’s seat. the contrast to Nero is obvious - people weren’t to hot on him at the start either but at least there was never any doubt he was the scrappy upstart to Dante’s seasoned professional, and his stripped-down gameplay matched his inexperience while still being satisfying. Viola sucks to play by most accounts, she’s a pratfalling schmuck outside of combat, and Bayo 3 plays her up by drastically lowering the established protagonists’ competence whenever possible. this does not endear her to the audience very well!
