My sister is so lovely and i often wonder how this woman is related to me but her kid has been banging on about how he wants a switch all year so they bought one for the whole family for christmas and hes cottoned on that it might be coming and hes been living vicariously through switch unboxing videos on youtube in the meanwhile and in a stunningly cruel manoeuvre that reminds me of the young girl who once tied me to a tree and threw eggs at me because i dobbed her in for smoking, shes filled the switch box with his stocking stuffers and put the switch in another box that theyre bringing out once theyve demolished his dreams. Its a classic move from dads playbook that he pulled on us with the mega drive.

Getting transferred to the jobseeker team now, apparently they were waiting on a document (last said it was a phone appointment I'm still waiting for), but it's all good now and nothing pending or required, fingers crossed once someone picks up again.

Over an hour later, no luck! Complaint lodged, receipt number for it etc, but the most she could tell me about my case was that it can't proceed until I get that overdue contact from the compliance team. So, she put me on hold while she went and dug up their direct number, so that I can call them myself. Surprise! It is the phone number from the most recent letter! The one I called, and explained to, who said I will receive a call from someone I can explain to! Sorry, everyone, cenno says no Christmas this year!

Anyone know a source for ordering reliable actually good usb-c cables that don't skimp out on half the spec or support and won't melt, and also aren't hideously overpriced? Australia's hell for finding sources of that kind of thing. Amazon is very much not trustworthy, that kind of stuff is just full of fakes.
