as funny as it would be if Stidham magically became good, I can't wait to see the Tebow-esque QB disaster that's coming under year 2 of the McDaniels regime

Mark Davis has been ready to drop Carr for years and somebody's gotta take the full brunt of the blame for such a uniquely disastrous season that can't be the fault of McDaniels

And he wanted to be there specifically so he could be with his friend Carr

quote:

His friend, Adams, came to the Raiders to play with Carr and be closer to his family. He left the Packers because Aaron Rodgers’ status was up in the air, and now here he was Wednesday after practice, staring at Carr’s empty locker.

“Obviously, I don’t think anybody was excited about it in here,” Adams told reporters. “Him being one of my really good friends and the reason I came here in the first place. I wouldn’t be here right now if he wasn’t here.

“I think everybody knows how I feel about him and with that said, there is a process to how things go. I am not going to sit here and go on and on. I support my guy and we have to finish this season out the best way we can.”

In that same interview a reporter asked him his favorite part of Stidham's game and Adams paused for like four seconds then said "his lack of experience."

It's good to see that McDaniels has learned to be a better people person since his time in Denver.

It might not be his fault this time and just a business decision made above his head. But damned if I'm not going to blame him for whatever happens after chasing off a guy who honestly seems like he'd die for the team and wasn't all that bad.

Coming from someone who instinctively dislikes Derek Carr.

I really doubt Davis would get rid of Carr if McDaniels wanted to keep him. They’ve got to be on the same page now irrespective of who wanted it first.

There's a cheapskate business owner side to this, that sure I'll buy is all Mark Davis. The rest of it was predictable the moment they hired McDaniels and destined as soon as they traded for Stidham.

Yeah, I don't buy that athletic story. Vic Tafur talks out of his rear end a lot. I don't know what McDaniels long term plan is at QB, but given he went from pro bowl Cutler to a Brady Quinn/Kyle Orton/Tim Tebow three headed monster in Denver, I'm not super excited for the master to plan to be revealed.

Maybe it doesn't really matter anymore.
Wonder if Denver can do a repeat of the Brockweiler trade and give away a pick and Russel to a tanking team with cap space to get free from that contract. I mean, I guess you gotta give him one more year with a new coach after everything you gave up for him, but if he still sucks. I vaguely remember the NBA trying to outlaw those kind of trades somehow, but can't remember the specifics.

They had old man Jerry but he was still really productive and their team was good. They lost in the Tuck Rule game then the Super Bowl.

Chiefs had a couple of bad turnovers, and have otherwise been fairly pooptacular lately.

yeah Chiefs are kinda limping into the playoffs with a bunch of underwhelming performances, but 13 wins is still 13 wins.

I think a) the team is really young with tons of rookies playing starter snaps and b) coaching isn't great on ST and D and c) Chiefs tend to play down to inferior opponents and at the same time AFC teams treat the Chiefs game as their regular season Super Bowl so its never an easy game.
