I got some killer wireless PC headphones/mic from Temu that I use every day for like 18 bux. On the other hand I found some pretty great deals on kitchen stuff and they just canceled the order on their side saying there were some suspicious prices. Also ordered a pair of boots that never came and the folks at Temu were very reluctant to issue a refund. It's been a bit of a crapshoot so far

I'm in the US and I've noticed that Ali has been increasing prices since Trump's tariffs. Temu seems to be at those older price points, plus it comes quickly. I've mostly only gotten dumb things, like keychains and stickers. Only risky item was an apple slicer. My wife says it's designed thicker and more sturdy than the one she broke that was from Target or where ever. One sketchy thing that happened though, the front page occasionally has crazy deals, but when I tried to add it to my cart, I got some sort of stock out error.

I would say I have more QC issue with Temu stuff than Ali stuff. The first refund is free, but after the first one you have to pay for return shipping. Main thing is Temu doesn't have the stuff I need so I go back to order from Ali.

lol the Aliexpress.com site login does not work for me (with or without adblock turned on) and if I click the 'Wishlist' link it redirects to the aliexpress.ru site for login which I would not trust with a long stick. Clicking the register link there is a separate 'log in' tab on that modal that works fine. Whatever they are paying their site devs, it's too much.

Works for me, at least right now. The redirection happens if you open someone's link with a different language, it's very annoying. You could make the same argument for Amazon stuff since a good chunk of it is the same poo poo as on AE. I'd probably amend the plug into the wall thing with a limit on how much wattage gotta through it, or an mAh limit.

I don't shop on Amazon either, by virtue of not being in a country where Amazon is worth a drat, but I guess Amazon is not only non-name junk brands or fakes, like AliE is? Of course, any reseller can let dangerous products through from time to time. A friend of mine recently had the misfortune of forgetting to wash some new sheets before first use, and her daughter came out in a pretty severe allergic rash that required treatment with heavy steroids. I don't think she bought them off Ali or Amazon but at a brick&mortar store. Anyway, that's the reason I don't buy my Teeth Cleansing Whitening Mousse or Scrotum Smoothing Cream online.

Literally no other way to buy new batteries for this thing anymore, and it was at the point where it was running out of battery while plugged in. The aliexpress store seemed to be the best reviwed, and everything on amazon or ebay is cheap junk.
