I had both my elbows scoped about 2 months apart. When they were injecting the nerve block before anesthesia they gave me Fentanyl and Dilaudid and holy loving poo poo that felt amazing. Probably only lasted about 90 seconds. When I went back for the second round, I was CRAVING that combination. Like I was almost giddy for it. I've never abused opiates, and things like Percocet or Oxy don't really work that well on me, but that was an eye opening experience about Fentanyl. That terrified me.

The last time I got put under I remember waking up in the recovery room and trying to say something. The nurse put her hand over my mouth and says "Don't try and talk, they had to clamp your vocal cords during the procedure." to which my response was "hhhhhhk"
