It's extremely embarrassing how badly the LA remake runs, but it's also absolutely gorgeous with an incredible soundtrack update so it's better overall

overall it was fine but every now and again, there would be a big hitch while running around the overworked. it's a small blemish on a great game

I never played the original since I couldn’t afford a gameboy as I was 1 years old when the game came out but I really enjoyed switch LA. I’m glad I got to play it

Original LA was my favorite gameboy game before pokemon came out. It has this bug where if you press select on a screen transition it will teleport Link to the same location but one map tile over. So like you could skip getting the bracelet to pick up the rocks blocking the way to the right of the village. As a kid it was so fun trying to figure out where I could go with that and how much I could sequence break. Plus the wonky story and characters, it has so much charm compared with lttp's more serious tone even if I do replay lttp more.

As a kid I softlocked myself in Link's Awakening in the water temple. There's a 2x1 platform you can just barely reach with Pegasus Boots and Roc's Feather but because it's on the edge of the screen, you can't jump back. If you do this before getting the flippers, you're hosed.

Speaking of Zelda I couldn't bring myself to finish Twilight Princess because the art was so bad and the game took itself way too seriously.

Solid thread title, probably an 8/10. Wouldn't want to read it again though I restored my file in Siralim Ultimate! Game kicks rear end on deck and on switch, though it's taking me longer to resolve conflicts so I think I need to get smarter about my build or just try something different entirely. I'm around floor 50ish or 60ish I think, 10 hours in or so? I'm mostly focused on raw attack power, splash damage, going multiple times of turn, burn, bleed, etc. It was very effective up to this point but now enemies are getting craftier with their traits and spells So many progression systems, this game is dragon warrior monsters on crack
