Sounds more like all the chuds got what they wanted. McCarthy gets speaker, the fringe crazies get all the appointments they want and quiet down because they got their demands and their handlers told them they're making the right look bad, conservatives/fascists unite as a coalition to hamstring the government, and everyone will forget this infighting clusterfuck (enjoyable as it was) ever happened by Monday. Would at least be a little funnier if we had a media that wasn't overwhelmingly right-wing that would hold accountable the people who said they'd never back down or resign if McCarthy was speaker.

McCarthy doesn't want those concessions in place, and neither do the Dems, so why don't the Dems offer to give McCarthy the votes he needs in exchange for just not having to go with those concessions from the fringe group? Seems like a win-win. It's not like Jeffries is going to pull through somehow.
