It was randomly in my YT suggestions a few days ago and I thought it was probably gonna be lame but I decided to check out specifically the Megaman X section since I had just played it and then 2 hours later I was rewinding all the way back to the beginning of the video to watch it proper.

by itself, I'm not a huge megaman head and only really liked 3 out of the ones ive played. i liked x years ago but revisiting it im realising all the stages feel like busywork before you get to the good part (the maverick fights). even though i haven't even replayed it yet, I'm dreading the sigma stages and boss fight since that all just stands out in my memory as bad

after playing MMX a few times over the years and trying a couple of others, I think the only Mega Man game I actually enjoy in practice is Shovel Knight

I like these Mega Mans and I revisit them every year or two

2-6 (NES)
4 (GB)
X 1-3
Zero 1-4

notably, they are all what I had as a kid. Every other new-to-me MM I've played as an adult, I just bounce off.

I'm going much more slowly than Sourdough, apparently. This is at almost 27 hours played for me. I'm feeling like the game is starting to drag a bit, this last dungeon was just a ton of long narrow passages with maybe or maybe not a single treasure chest at the end and a really high encounter rate. Fights were easier too overall which was sort of nice after the last couple areas, but got a little old since I only needed one or two strats for most of the enemy sets. Wondering if I should stop trying to progress the whole party and just focus on 3 characters for the rest of the game - I'll lose some versatility but be able to go deeper into the mantra trees if I'm paying for 3 characters instead of 5. Haven't decided yet.

Beelzebub killed me easily my first try so I watched a movie and grinded mantras outside his door for a few hours lol
