Ok I looked it up. The reason people find it so hard to understand is because they're missing some background information about how the universe works in jojo In JJBA, predestination is real, rock-solid, and very specific down to the smallest objects. Absolutely everything has a predestined path laid out for it, from which it cannot deviate. When King Crimson skips time, what actually happens is that everything except Diavolo continues on its predestined path, but has no awareness or memory of the events that got skipped. During the skip, Diavolo becomes disconnected from predestination - he alone experiences the skipped time, and he can move freely within it, but he can't interact with anything. However, Diavolo also had a predestined set of actions that he would have taken if he hadn't used the skip. Because only he is immune to predestination, everything he would have interacted with still feels the effects of his destined interaction - it's just that instead of Diavolo doing it, it's the metaphysical force of Fate itself. For example, if Diavolo would have picked up a rock and thrown it during the skipped time, he doesn't have to do that any more (in fact, he can't), the rock is thrown regardless because it was fated to be thrown. Meanwhile, Diavolo could be somewhere else entirely - as far away as he can get under his own power within the up to ten seconds he can skip. Diavolo knows when and how to use his power because of his other power, which lets him see visions of the future. Whatever he sees is guaranteed to happen, because the future cannot be changed in Jojo.

I actually had time to tweak it slightly today  Tweaked the hat to look a bit clearer, and changed the timings on the Johnson card so that the reaction comes across better. There might be a way to exaggerate the expression some more but I thought I'd try a subtle (i.e. lazy) change first.
