There was a bitcoin Computoon a bit ago. I think it was depicted as a physical coin. They're not re-runs, the artist just fires up the old strips in MSPaint and white-outs any details that need to be changed.

edit: Val, I love you man, but sometimes I think you need to let one rear end in a top hat who kidnaps your son/wife live, just so the word spreads that if you gently caress with Val's family, you will die tired or in a hole.
If they aren't smart enough to connect the dots of "literally everyone who has tried to gently caress with his family has failed", they're not smart enough to heed the warnings of the proverbial last survivor. "Y'all were stupid; my plan, to catch him in a tiny net, will work for sure!"

Very very minor spoilers: It's basically not addressed! They rescue Aleta of course, and then they're back on the boats and the twins are there and just fine. Like El Spamo suggests, I assume they left a rearguard who take care of the kids and the boats, but the script doesn't really mention it. Perhaps we're meant to assume this is part of Val "making his plan" in panel four today.

Any time I read one of the thread's translated comics and the poster just has to be like, "I did the best I could but this joke depends on both a deep understanding of 1980s Finnish pop culture and a pun based on a word that doesn't exist in English," I think of stuff like this as its equivalent.

Yeah, but how are they gonna recognize him? I don't think these guys have much contact with Thule or the Misty Isles or Arthur's court. He doesn't have the rep HERE, which is precisely why he needs to let one or two guys go occasionally.

Of course, time heals all wounds and now Meadowhall is part of the South Yorkshire fabric, like bus drivers calling you “love”. It even appeared as Self Esteem’s bra at Glastonbury. Quite the moment.

There’s a little New Zealand reference in today’s comic that I hope someone will spot.

Edit: The New Zealand reference is in the second panel. The store names are a reference to New Zealand musician Tim Finn and his song 'Funny Way'
