Seeing a lot of Slowbro in Cinderace raids today and yesterday that jump the gun, use Stored Power before they've finished buffing up. So they reduce Cinderace to half health or thereabouts, the shield goes up and then all hell breaks loose. I just had two in a row (I'm still using my Armarouge) where I had to switch from being support to attack and save the day. which made me feel like a badass but if the slowbro player had stuck to the book it wouldn't have been necessary. Actually in the second one, the Slowbro never used Stored Power at all that I saw, it buffed a bit and then started using Surf (!)

Yeah. I ran into a couple where we had three Slobros and me (Espathra). Everyone buffs/debuffs except one just did Nasty Plot first instead of Iron Defense. Uhhh, ok? Then it just goes into spamming Psychic and immediately dies over and over. Welp. There’s five minutes wasted.

In Sword/Shield, I want to breed Hidden Ability Pokemon for GTS trade fodder and I dont particularly care about getting a Shiny. Does using 2x HA Pokemon of the same type give me a higher % chance of an offspring HA than Masuda?

The harassment at school is a real thing but I think all the bosses were "misfits" who then found each other and "Cassiopeia". They also hadn't met Penny face to face and only communicated via Rotom phones. Also I don't believe that trans rights were explicitly brought up but its still applicable.

the Team Star plot didn’t really get to me in that way. it's a story of outcast kids finding their community and scaring their bullies so bad they all ran away and left them alone, and they became so strong and confident that they don't take poo poo from anyone anymore, even the teachers and director. that's a success story; they won, roll credits. Team Star rules. you as the protagonist go around and dismantle everything they built because it's the only thing Penny, a child, can think to do - and it's the same as her solution to the bullies in the first place: ride some strong mf's coattails while they kick rear end. she's not especially creative in that regard e: don't get me wrong I love Penny's character she just makes for a somewhat incompetent team leader, as is often the case in the Pokémon universe indigi fucked around with this message at 21:27 on Jan 15, 2023 |

I thought Team Star was Worse Team Skull.  stories about school bullying just irritate me and make me roll my eyes probably for the exact same reasons Team Star resonates with others. couldnt stand the intro chapter to Persona 5. this is entirely on me, but I just mashed A Button for Team Star to get to the sad sad dog story and the most badass rival ever challenging me to take on the world.

They'll bully you for loving anything outside the normal, including a moderately weird thing you said once and minor ways you walk weird. The penny line is "Shine bright like the starry sky and become who you really want to be", which even if unintended can be read as trans coded given other affectations. The combination of the "who you really want to be" line and Sylveon being her ace makes it completely understandable and fair that people read Penny as trans or trans adjacent. Also after reading Ortega's dialogue I can't help but feel he wasn't bullied enough.

I really want them to bring back my good dog Boltund. I know he's not popular but he was my main guy in Shield. I suppose it's a good bet that all the Kanto starters at least will be coming back. Do we expect the other Galar starters? I suppose there's no real way to know.
