I think Dmitry Bivol has to be the pretty clear fighter of the year. Inoue a little bit below Bivol and then Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney a little bit below the first two. EDIT: Fight of the year really should be Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano though-and not like I'm accusing anyone in here of being this-most would probably say Leigh Wood-Mick Conlan because women. Boxing was already removed from the program of the 2028 Summer Games in LA but it seems likely that they will not be in 2024 in Paris either. Roiman Villa with a huge upset over Rashidi Ellis, giving Ellis his first loss. Decision should have gone the other way in my opinion, but Ellis has been very inactive over the years and he ran out of gas at the end of this fight. Sounds like there will be a rematch. Ellis probably wins that, but his status as a Jaron Ennis rival is gone.

Richard Torrez Jr. has his fifth fight early next month, but they don't seem to have announced his opponent yet. Olympic HW silver medalist. He hasn't fought legit contenders yet but he's fun to watch. Sadly, 6'2" may hamstring him a bit in today's division.

Hard to square Eubank getting absolutely clubbed by Liam Smith, a non-heavy hitting, non-elite career super welterweight, when he's taken shots from the likes of higher level and bigger hitting super middleweights Arthur Abraham and George Groves, other than to conclude that Eubank is basically washed up at this point. Good thing that Benn fight didn't happen, he would have gotten absolutely strafed. Middleweight is an extremely weak division these days, especially now with Eubank wiped off the map. GGG is 40, Demetrius Andrade moved up, Jermall Charlo is basically AWOL at this point in his career, and Jaime Munguia seems happy fighting Butterbean level opposition....

the serrano card last night was a lot of fun to watch. richardson hitchens control of the fight was something else especially when his opponent started swinging wild. both of the main event bouts were worth watching even though I began to wonder if the doctors had money on the fights going the distance

Cruz was surprisingly competitive against Serrano but I never really had her up at any point in the card. The baumgardner fight was real good too.
