Anyone getting a ALICE rig for their Haslab pack?

Somebody who got one already did this. Apparently its super easy, but if you put one on the pack won't fit on the included stand.

I got to see the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra play the score along with the film last weekend. It definitely added to the experience.

That is so freakin' cool. I've seen Nosferatu with a live orchestra twice, but it'd be rad to see something more recent.

What kind of batteries does it need? Just so I can prepare before mine arrives (no shipping notice yet though :argh: )

I foolishly thought I had D batteries but they were C batteries. Put some in tonight and it is sweet, wand connection works. I just wish I had more time to do more than admire it at the moment, I flicked the cyclotron switches but not sure if I did it right as it seemed to not work when I did that. More investigation needed.

Oh right, photo. The weathering is pretty slapdash, and not nearly as good as Adam Savage got.

Luckily I imagine the weathering is quite easy to pull back and redo but yeah, Adam definitely got one sent specifically to him that had extra care put into it.

Afterlife is apparently getting a sequel which releases at the end of the year. Anyone heard anything about what it's about?

Its codename is Firehouse (probably not the actual title) and the last thing we saw in Afterlife was the containment unit in the firehouse not looking all that healthy.

Nothing has leaked, and all that's known is that Gil Kenan (who co-wrote Afterlife) is directing it, instead of Jason Reitman. Last I've been told, the script is still undergoing heavy rewrites and there are a few different versions depending on which of the legacy cast they can get back.

It doesn't begin shooting until mid-March. There is no way an effects-heavy movie like a Ghostbusters sequel goes from pre-production to release in ten months.

(I mean, Ghostbusters II began shooting in November 1988 and was released in June 1989, but that was an epic clusterfuck of a production.)

poo poo, gimme the ghost of a very angry fireman who doesn't like how they treated the firehouse. Give me a movie where they have to fight a mythical beast on Wall Street. Give me a a movie where the bad guy is 50 stacks of copyright paperwork and Louis has to lawyer his rear end off.
