For a guy to leave after a 30+ year run takes something pretty interesting, the money has to be huge, or a personal rift opened up because there's little chance AAA can offer him the number of dates to do whatever into his late 60s.

He was supposed to do GCW and that fell through but I forgot why. So maybe that is indicative of him getting other indie dates squashed? But he wasn't even one of the guys getting ROH dates who might be used to getting some nice US payoffs and be pissed at CMLL for killing those. Weird. This was also planned well in advance by AAA so whatever is going on AAA is central to his plan not just a side thing while he does other dates.

CMLL randomly deciding to gently caress Casas over in regards to money is not entirely out of the question. The Chavo Lutteroth regime has been one of the dumbest, cheapest, and talent exploiting management groups in all of wrestling since they couped Sofia Alonso out of management. They immediately cut pay and took a bigger percentage of outside/international bookings when they took over and pissed off a lot of talent. There’s been a ton of discord brewing since 2019.
