I think Sue started just making herself invisible, then she got the force field bubble and turn people invisible bubble, and now writers just say "gently caress it, invisible claws, sure." E: I thought her clothes had to be made of unstable molecules so they could turn invisible?

She didn't originally have the quasi-telekinetic powers, no. Just invisibility. I figure they realized how useless she was in fights after a while and gave her more abilities because up against supervillains it wears kind of thin to disappear just so you can smash a bottle and try to stab the bad guy with it.

Her powers were a woman in the 60s who couldn't be seen but COULD be heard. It was revolutionary. The stripping off her clothes thing was from the movie.

In the first she makes only her clothes invisible by accident and in the second she burns them off when she gets Johnny's powers. Really amazing stuff.

Now I kind of want to see this. The usuless invisible member of the team just shanking the bad guy to end every battle.

Nah they're talking about the scene on the bridge where Jessica Alba needs to sneak past the cops, so she strips nude, turnds invisible, and tiptoes through. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdSPX9C6D7U

God, that's skeevy. I knew those movies were bad but I'd never realised exactly the tenor of that badness before.

I was stewing in my mind that the hell house isn't a boss just a normal enemy even if its a nightmare to fight but lol they give it a promotion in the remake. I guess a lot of us were traumatised by that thing back in the day.

I could swear they did the same scene in Brubaker's Daredevil when the Punisher was deliberately trying to get himself sent to prison -- cop tries to arrest him, sees the skull on his chest, and nearly wets himself calling for backup while the Punisher just stands there with his hands up.
