At that point along the river there are no houses within like 100 yards or more of the river's edge.

A little bit down stream there are some businesses close to the water, but I think they're far enough down that they don't need to worry *that* much about this happening. Where this happened, was pretty much right where Lake Erie narrows down and turns in to the Niagara River.

Took out the ferry service down my way one year when they were clearing for freighters.

yeah and safer than driving yourself? I mean really, I only jerk the wheel towards an embankment once or twice a drive, but this looks like you're averaging three or four times per transit which makes that previous assertion just patently/factually wrong

You have to act exactly like you would when driving normally and also be ready for a bunch of brand new failure modes that don't happen when it's not turned on. Welcome to the sci-fi future

I can't imagine doing this, keeping yourself engaged while actually at the controls is already enough work, never mind trying to stay alert and aware enough to instantly jump in while not doing the actual driving. I want to jump straight from manual driving to the magical Star Trek AI future for vehicles, and skip all this dumb developmental stuff along the way.

Just bring a backseat driver for all the fun with a lower chance they grab the wheel to steer you into a ditch.

Personally, I've never seen a gas hose that coils that way, but I've seen plenty of garden hoses that do.

Combine that with https://www.amazon.com/Goplus-Automatic-Kerosene-Biodiesel-Refilling/dp/B071ZB93RX and you're got a million-view tiktok.

Note that you can't see the gas pump, either.

Yeah, definitely a fake. If there was actually that much gasoline coming out you'll be seeing vapor distorting the air.
