Now that there arent any more votes it is sorta a bummer that in Imperator Rome the game ends right as most major empires are consolidating and before they can get into huge wars with each other. Ah well

Yes, soon Autolalia will come to dominate the West African coast! Why Autolalia? Well, it speaks for itself, really.

Ah well There's a mod in ck3 that intends to create these apocalyptic end-game wars in which the full brunt of empires get tossed against each other and whoever loses becomes a tribal wasteland of balkanized squabbling states

Hell yeah, Asatru-Roman syncretism is gonna be sick. The Romans still gonna end up in Byzantion, except as this world's version of Varangians. e: Also, will be very funny if the Romans learn sailing well, have more success in Newfoundland than the Vikings had in OTL, and run into lost Carthaginian colonies in the Americas.

In a twist, the Greeks will go up to Scandanavia to be special-intelligence style protectors for the Black Roman Emperor. The Black Romans will have the loyaly and fighting down, but won't know how to be sneaky bnackstabbers, thus needing greeks for the job.

MinistryofLard posted:Oh whoops - I was thinking Galatia because Celtic Anatolia would be cool. sweet, well your vote came up in the rolls so I guess we'll be getting medieval Galatia also in general, if anyone has any decent ideas for Punic or Hebrew-based names for places, then let me know! Names for the places we have colonies -- Ireland, Britain, Gaul, Scandinavia etc. -- are probably all that's 100% necessary hashashash fucked around with this message at 19:20 on Jan 26, 2023 |

I have found a couple interesting tidbits -- like how Pretan apparently means tin, and can conflated with Prytania/Brittania

hashashash posted:I have found a couple interesting tidbits -- like how Pretan apparently means tin, and can conflated with Prytania/Brittania Yeah, Britain was known as the "tin isles" in antiquity for the fact that it exported a fuckload of tin, through Carthaginian trade lines, actually.
