"What?! I'm not tangled up like this for fun, you know!"
If we're talking Sumo dreams I had one earlier this month where I managed to go to a day of the Hatsu Basho.

Except in order to get in you had to pass a test to prove you had the spirit to truly enjoy the sport.

It was a written exam and all the questions were generic morality stuff like "Someone drops money and doesn't notice do you keep it or give it back."

Also I could see through the doors of the arena and the Dohyo was being carried in, fully built, by the rikishi Pikmin style.

Frankly none of this seems that out of the realm of possibility for sumo.

oh drat, you're right. the price was throwing me off, the maker's website said they were only about $2 yen each, but looks like they were a limited-ish run made six years ago. i found a couple of japanese sites that were selling the set for about $20, but doubt they accept overseas payments so rolling the dice with Jellybean' for their favorite'ss probably Sword's best bet.

At least its being polite and saying 'gaikoku', though I'm not sure what the middle kanji is.

Its probably supposed to be Aoiyama, but you can't see the cat-jugs under the fur.

I guess now that I'm looking at it in more detail (and not quite as sleep deprived), it appears the actual manufacturer is "Re-Ment" which is a Japanese toy manufacturer, so theoretically you'd be able to find their products in various stores that carry Japanese products, Jellybeet is just the first one that came up that appears to have these in stock.

Seems like Re-Ment use the blind box model quite frequently for a variety of their product lines.

Good luck! I don't know if they actually sell full sets or if you'll just have to buy enough blind boxes to get lucky, assuming you can even find it in stores. If you're there long enough and/or have a local contact I'd maybe check Yahoo Auctions as people seem to use that a lot there instead of ebay.

I'm assuming Natto will just keep making new channels and the takedowns will probably come too late to actually disrupt same-day watching, there's also Twitch VODs (navigate to twitch.tv/CHANNELNAME/videos and then switch the video type to "Past Broadcasts" to find these)

Natto has a discord of some sort. Agree that he’ll probably keep popping up accounts after getting banned, but if he ever flees YouTube I suppose that’s where you can find out where he’s posting on a daily basis.

It's one of those things where I understand the reasoning, but I don't agree with it. NHK has a duty to defend their copyright content, but it's getting so aggressive that it's potentially leading to a sort of new dark age of sumo fandom for viewers outside of Japan.

To clarify, Kintamayama's uploads currently show up as private (as opposed to "This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated.", which is Jason's situation) and in his video he mentioned he got a second strike, not a third, so I believe everything is still there. I do not know if he is still at risk of receiving a third strike despite all the videos being private.

Leo Dickinson Sumo and Midnight Sumo on Twitch were my go-tos for Hatsu. Midnight by preference for me personally, because of the lack of audio commentary (and the chat I can tune out if I don't want to read it), but the former was an option if Midnight's stream took a poo poo.
