I wish I was joking, but I think it needs a couple strips of bacon to really bring it together.

https://twitter.com/consumertc/status/1621161062048632833 I loved these things when I'd occasionally get them as a kid. Maybe "I'll be able to put gummy bears in my oatmeal whenever I want!" would be a better aspiration for becoming an adult than eating ice cream for every meal.

I don't remember that, but I do remember that 'Oatmeal Swirls' stuff that came with a packet of jelly (I'm assuming; my parents never bought it for me) you could swirl into basic oatmeal. As a kid it seemed really cool to me.

Wasn’t the same premise used for the “dinosaur eggs” oatmeal? And is that still around? I could swear we got some on a lark just a few years ago I remember the oatmeal swirls too and thinking it’d be pretty daggum good

I was surprised to find out that dinosaur egg oatmeal is still around. I don't remember how it was back when I was a kid, but it looks like the dinosaurs are more of a sugary candy than a gummy one inside there. I had the oatmeal swirls a few times too. Sadly, they were always a bit disappointing. The swirl packets had too artificial of a taste for even kid me to love, especially the chocolate syrup flavor.

I claim to be an adult and bought dino-egg oatmeal a few months ago because I could, and they were definitely powdery sugary candy and not gummy at all. Also just like, so much sugar and not really a pleasant texture in oatmeal. I don't regret getting them but I've satisfied my "candy for breakfast" urges for the next few years.

Can confirm, sugar candy dinos, also way too sugary in general but it did hit those memories of being a little fat kid going ham on those dinos for breakfast so 10/10
