Even if it looks old now, you could definitely take the black plastic/wood panel atari approach and modernize it in a way that looks really slick. The Ps4 actually looked pretty nice with wood veneers, but not as cool as an Atari.

I love a translucent shell, my favorite DS4 was the white translucent one. I love seeing all the circuitry and stuff. Demystifying gadgetry and making its humble innards part of the aesthetic rules.

Finished Forspoken, game is way better than critics gave it. I really enjoyed it a lot. Story is just the right length and the world is a lot more populated with things to find and do than originally believed by people from the demo impressions. Square-Enix when they make single player games is absolutely killing it. Now just get them to stop making GaaS titles.

I think video games are definitely better now than in the 90s (this isn't controversial shut UP) but also you could afford a modest one bedroom apartment in most cities without making 80k/yr so I'm still gonna give the edge to the 90s

I picked up Gran Turismo 7 in anticipation of PSVR 2, and it seems good but, is it just me or is GT just super bland looking? I guess the other recent racing games I have played are Forza Horizon 5 and Dirt 5 and they are both just so much more fun to look at. Don't get me wrong the car models in GT look amazing but the backgrounds are just so bleh. Hopefully as I get deeper into weather effects and tracks I haven't seen it will spice it up a bit. I guess it's more of a sim game than I usually play. I usually go for the most arcadey racers. The VR support will make it well worth it though. Racing in VR is fun as hell. It’s a weird way to phrase it but everything in the game feels like…museum quality levels of care. Being able to smash stuff up, realistic and fun as it might be, kind of goes against that.

Tbh I dont mind that. I'd rather look at a nice looking car than something I completely smashed up. I mostly just wish the city scapes looked less bland and lifeless. Tbh even pretty low detail especially compared to other recent racing games.

Alright I was quoted a lot but I grew up in Ireland + with a lot of grim uk television when I was thinking of the 90s. But atomic green and purple is still the worst
