Edit: Actually, that might not be true. I installed the game and at the time the single player with Game Pass was broken? and I'm not sure I ever played it when it got fixed because the multiplayer game it was attached to was dire.

Try a couple 1v1v1v1 games on small/medium maps against the CPUs, then switch over to ranked online so you get matched against other newer players. The CPU is fine, but it's easy to get used to how it plays and you'll just end up having the same game over and over, unlike playing against people. Protip for the lower ranks: try to have a small army (~6 dudes) go disrupt the other guy's economy around the time you all hit Feudal age (10:00-15:00 on the in-game timer). If you can kill one or two of their villagers, or at least get them to ring the bell and wait it out, then their economy will be on the back foot compared to yours for the rest of the game. Keep up the pressure and you'll win around the start of Castle age. Further up the ranks everyone will be expecting this, and/or try it on you, so you'll need other strategies by then, but you'll know at that point if you're enjoying it or not.

Multiplayer would stress me out. I kinda like having slow and easy games where I just build stuff and make a pretty kingdom. Sometimes I create some raiding parties and do some light warring to add some variation. I don't even care about winning or losing. If I'd do multiplayer, I'd be on edge constantly. Therefore ruining these chill vibes.

Yesterday when I went onto the Xbox it came up with a thing about how it had automatically changed my settings so it shut down when I turned it off instead of just going to sleep, I was gonna change it back but it was being weirdly shame-y about how it will use 10 watts instead of 0!!!!! so I thought gently caress it Quick Resume will make it not so bad Turned Xbox on today and go to reopen PowerWash and oh no it has to close the game because of some save data error Microsoft are just……so, so, so bad at having the things they make and do actually work

Ooh yeah I found some earbuds in one playthru and strangled a target with it but they didn’t have rarity so couldn’t extract with them.

Speaking of quick resume it's been kicking major rear end for me with the new hitman mode. You can just turn off your machine mid mission and not worry about failing the campaign. Done it multiple times now.
