Yeah the Wii U version looks worse, controls worse, and somehow runs worse. I think they farmed out the port and they bungled it up

Prope developed the Wii version to completion for kadokawa, who sat on it for years until farming out a 3DS/WiiU port/redo that's a lot worse. It makes the game a lot more standard with meter-limited flight when the whole gimmick was being able to point and click fly anywhere. I only played a bit but it seemed fun as a take on a wiimote-centric action game

galaxy angel was based on a game, not the other way around. the game's plot is also a lot more serious than the anime's, even though the cast is the same.
