Sony should definitely buy Square Enix. Square's current MO of releasing a ton of mid-budget, relatively niche JRPGs fits so well with Sony's current philosophy on video games

Agreed. It is a reasonable ask. Everyone gets to finish their releases for 2023 then we take 2024 and maybe 2025 off. No new releases. Finish those games. Get some platinum and 100% completions.

Am I the only one in these entire forums who cares about the new System Shock remake demo? with all due respect to Nintendo or whoever they'd be finding new ways to gently caress with the consumer next week as well. I just can't care about AAA gaming anymore. I thought you guys were my kind of dead and gay, I'm disappoint.

Pretty sure they are already on there chief, look in the section of gun violence games that you always have to scroll past since you live in 2023 and at some point have played an FPS for over 5 minutes and experienced the full depth of the world's shallowest clicking hitbox game genre

I know 3 things about System Shock: 1. It's the one they made before Deus Ex 2. There's an ai lady called Shodan who refers to the player as "hacker" (maybe this is SS2?) 3. The interface looked like this:

honestly if you play on the current fanpatch (portable version or whatever) it basically gives it the system shock 2 control scheme where you have mouselook but can hit a button to turn the menus/interface on/off and it plays fine

supposedly the system shock demo is actually a new one this time instead of the same alpha they've been regurgitating for the last couple of years, so maybe it actually will come out now they gave it a release target of March though lol
