Fwiw the retailers are seemingly going off the same amount of information we have (with them going “oh poo poo” and suspending pre-orders last night and all) so them changing their internal price doesn’t really confirm or deny whether the price raise is real or a mix-up. guess we’ll know in about an hour

Gonna call my shots in the twilight of the coming Direct. Pokemon Stadium announced as Feb's N64 game, with the twist that it'll be compatible with the GB Pokemon games. And oh yeah, we're adding Game Boy to the base Switch online service with a launch of ~20ish games. Both Super Mario Lands, Link's Awakening, Metroid II, Pokemon RBY, Donkey Kong 94, and the first Wario Land. Later Wario Lands will show up in future updates. Also a 2DHD remake of Bahamut Lagoon, since it feels like SE is committed to bringing every Japan-only SNES RPG over here. And finally, in case both of those somehow happen, to prove I am indeed just guessing and not a leaker, we'll get Mother 3.

I would be surprised if it weren't real given the special pricepoint BOTW already has in the European eShop (€69.99 while any other 1st-party title is €59.99). Genuine surprise for the first half the year? Silksong, but I find it hard to happen. Dropping Advance Wars would be terrific. I think they should capitalize on Dread and keep some Metroid fever going by throwing out ports of Metroid Prime, but I can't see that just happening in the first half of 2023. That needs more build up.
