I've never heard of Glass Casket before. Apparently there's some other bands and some using that name, heh. Anyways I found this video. I'd definitely have been all over this. Don't know how I missed it.

First time listening to Bleeding Through and the album This is love, this is murderous is extremely good. I remember all the gatekeeping trve metal nerds on the internet early on saying Bleeding Through was the only good metalcore band. They obviously were wrong, but drat this band is good.

BT was a crucial metalcore band back in the day. i think their 2018 album "love will kill all" is very solid and sounds a lot like "this is love"

My personal favorites are "The Truth", "Love will Kill All", and "The Great FIre". The Great Fire sort of reminds me of Unearth's "Watchers of Rule" in that it's just straight fire all the way through with no chill in it. A step away from the more melodic stuff they had on their previous albums before it.

My local Danish boys in Eyes released their sophomore album today — if you like some math-y/chaotic hardcore with Josh Scogin-esque vocals here and there, you are probably gonna dig it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y13mqnrVXlQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Kw4Cd_tFBY

my standard post about having never "gotten" code orange and always thought they sucked poo poo

i've said it before and i'll say it again over and over code orange hit the scene HARD with i am king. people were flocking to shows and going off when they played. it's not like the scene was hard up for breakdowns or whatever, but i think nobody expected it from this young band and for them to drop an album that was just heavy hitters throughout the whole thing. it was really refreshing and fun. then they started getting sucked into their own assholes and made wrestling songs and wannabe industrial electronic stuff to be all artsy? you kinda know the jig is up when they seemingly forced reba to wear tight revealing red leather in music videos meanwhile she had been wearing XXXL hoodies in everything up to that point. it feels like roadrunner wanted to mold code orange into the perfect tween heavy band and now they're so so much worse for it.

I don't know what it is, but all of ABR's stuff in the last few years just sounds so incredibly milquetoast. And this is coming from someone who still has Constellations and Leveler all over his gym playlist.

being a "christian" band fell out of favor after its early-mid 00s height turns out money is more important than conviction. and i think most of the bands were probably faking it or over emphasizing it anyway? i still remember when underoath used to close every show before their last song with "fyi this band is about loving our lord and saviour jesus christ" or whatever
