There was one pink medicine that was goddamn delicious, I think it was just children's amoxicillin but I had it a few times when I was sick and I always looked forward to it. It might have been bubblegum? I just remember it tasting like candy. I remember it making me think that Pepto Bismol would be equally tasty and being bitterly disappointed. Except now I sort of like the weird chalky taste of Pepto, so who knows what's up with my taste buds.

I offered one to a friend, and after trying it, he asked if I would be offended if he spit it out. I said yes and he did anyway  honestly I don't really understand that but whatever Pepto Bismol is good though.

When I was about five, there was a period of time when I thought I was addicted to N'ice cough drops. They were like candy and I was eating them like mints. I don't know if they're even still made now, but they had a great flavor.

yeah, amoxicillin is the pink goop. i was dosed with that poo poo so often i grew to hate it. there are three artificial flavors i can't stand due to childhood meds: bubblegum, banana, grape just can't do it!

I was screwed either way because I hate artificial grape flavor more than anything, so Robitussin was terrible because it tasted like it came from the pits of hell, but Dimetapp was equally bad merely on account of it being grape. Why couldn't more medicines be tasty and enjoyable to drink as a child??

The tasty children's medicines were instrumental in me not even trying to swallow pills till I was a gown rear end teen despite clearly being able to when I was 6 and forced to take something that only came in pills. That bubble gum amoxicillin tasted like dreams and the strange smell that comes out of large building HVACs when they are first treated and turned on in the spring and I'm all about it.
