Oh goodness Mav sacrifices himself to save Rooster! He couldn’t live with letting Goose’s son die too! This is great! Wow, genuinely heartfelt. (A couple minutes later) time to buddycop heist an F14 and get out of here! It was like… Star Wars 9 where Rey accidentally killed Chewie and I sat up in my chair thinking the story would salvage itself with real stakes. But nahhhh fake Chewie bro Steve Yun fucked around with this message at 04:09 on Feb 21, 2023 |

Yeah, the time to see Top Gun: Maverick was in the theater. In regards to HBO shows, The Leftovers isn't exactly hidden, but it's a little lower profile, and I recently watched it and very much enjoyed it. Three seasons, with an ending.

I just started Tokyo Vice, pretty cool (after 1 episode). Every angry Japanese business man voice always makes me laugh though.

I found Top Gun 2 to be very good fun when it was about planes going fast, but mediocre to bad whenever anything else was happening. Then again I'm probably not exactly the target audience, since I'm not all that nostalgic about the first part .

ST Picard Season 3 Ep 1 was bad but nowhere near as bad as the first 2 seasons. I will keep watching.

My issue with Road to Perdition is that I absolutely in no way can buy Tom Hanks as a ruthless mob enforcer.

Mad God is pretty good. It's like a tool video and pink Floyd's the wall got together and a bunch of stuff gets murdered. I watched it dead sober but I think drugs should be involved.

im getting more into it, theres stanley tucci with hair and a baby daniel craig doing an american accent I think in my mind a period drama is just a boring rear end genre but I always like them after 20 minutes of sitting still lol agree on hanks, he is just a teddy bear i don't really see it either ok it was good. story was predictable af but that wasn't really the point. the cinematics looked good on my lil tv think i need a bigger tv put on alan alda's 1981 vehicle The Four Seasons A MIRACLE fucked around with this message at 23:45 on Feb 21, 2023 |

I watched it dead sober but I think drugs should be involved. Blood Machines on Shudder is pretty neat too. It's a Carpenter Brut music video mashed with a pulpy Sci Fi story with a spaceship that is also a lady and maybe also a god? If Carpenter Brut doesn't sound familiar, you've probably heard their music in the Hotline Miami games. I believe it's about an hour long total. Shudder splits it into 3 episodes but it's clearly meant to be watched as one short movie. Not a recommendation to just Field Mousepad, if you want a weird artsy thing to watch either totally sober or enhanced in some way, it's a good selection.

Rian Johnson just wanted to use real stuff.

All the behind the scenes drama put me off the movie entirely. The director dating the male lead and the weird power imbalances that always creates, the female lead trashing it openly, Chris Pine face, all of it.

That's true actually, I'd throw the rope comp in with those too. I meant about the best you could do in terms of making things fair, but the events themselves were boring and edited to just kill time.
