I wonder if it's possible to switch out the lovely 360 dpad for one from their fancy new pro controllers.

So that in games the tutorials and quick help show the wrong button, so I i dont know what im supposed to press. Steam has a 'Nintendo controller' setting that adapts in game text to Nintendo's button layout when you use a Switch Pro controller, you might be able to force it through Steam settings or a patch

AliExpress bike clothing report: bought a fake Rapha(read: Ravlpha) kit off of Ali, which took I think a full 60 days to arrive. I wear a medium bike jersey so I selected the XXXL version but, I would have been better off with the XXL as the top is just a wee bit too big Overall: it wears like a cheap amazon bike kit but it does kind of rule in that it undermines a very bougie class signifier bit of cycling gear. It really does look like a Rapha kit at first glance. I would recommend if you don't mind wearing budget bike clothes. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800600540405.html

Still $50, but solid, and the One and Series controllers are straight-up Bluetooth, unlike the 360. They can also charge (and connect) directly from the USB-C (or micro on the earlier One controllers.)

After two test buys from different companies I bought 12 DMX kinetic lights from alibaba for about 300 dollars a piece, arrived in about a month. to make this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7-ZQoBXkUk First time negotiating custom stuff directly with the factory. I had to open up three of the units to reattach cables and reposition a motor but apart from that it went pretty smoothly.

Just a better dpad would be nice.

They lock in place with a solenoid, so they are only really working when theyre actually moving up and down, which should happen a lot less than in the clubs the kinetic lights are marketed to, so hopefully they will have an okay lifespan, but it is a gamble yeah. Theyre about three/four times cheaper than buying name-brand here so we'll come out ahead even if we have to replace all of them twice in the next few years

D pad feels great to me, but I’m not a hard-core gamer, so I don’t have much experience with other pads, so who knows. Also, I should mention I got it off Amazon not Ali, no idea if they even bother making counterfeits of easysmxes. I tried with one I bought (and had not used) years ago, but it wouldn't install the drivers on Windows 10 (1909 or later - I don't recall exactly.) I wanted to use it for Xbox Cloud Gaming, but had to switch to a spare XBone controller for that. edit: null_pointer posted:There it is! I was stunned that no one else had done it first.

The adapter we had for the elite controller only worked on windows 7, I had to buy a cheap Bluetooth dongle for that one when we upgraded to 10, but that worked great. The original xbox 360 radio dongle thing worked with no issues on both 7 and 10. The elite controller has been kind of a pain!

flavor.flv posted:That is excellent advice and the Pro 2 in particular has a ton of extra features like programmable macros and such, but I will also say that if you find the right store you can still get ahold of the original design from before the C&D, and the novelty might just outweigh the ergonomics. Checked if my fire extinguisher is actually full of booze. It's not. But it's mostly not toxic. I checked the MSDS after the test. From a safety perspective we should probably not store things that people want to drink in funny containers that may be mistaken as life saving equipment.
