tbh part of what pisses me off about this entire situation is that there is 100% still a market for this site in 2023, even among ppl my age. right before the astral stuff went down i was talking with an online friend who was lamenting how fuckin bad Reddit and MyAnimeList are for actually discussing anime, and i got him to lurk ADTRW and he liked the atmosphere & posts he was seeing. it's actually criminal that for all the discussion virtually ages ago about entering the modern age and broadening the userbase, the most to show for it are a smattering of Twitter posts and minor QoL tech fixes. like just fuckin do anything that isn't digging the deepest hole imaginable or vanishing into the night, it shouldn't be a hard ask
