Hyatt ran a 4.41 (unofficial). Probably gonna get revised down once they recalculate the timing.

I mean it's not like a 4.4 time is slow, and Hyatt's game tape consistently shows him turning coverage into burnt toast.

Hyatt also graded out as an elite for his vertical and broad jumps.

Just depends on what falls in my opinion. If they think he's the best guy there when they're picking I'm ok with it.

I mainly don't want to trade up, which is a very Veach thing to do. The Chiefs need bodies in a lot of different places.

e: haha I hadn't even considered the possibility of trading down

If your demon speed guy is running a 4.41 and can't do much else I'm out. There are second round WRs that could be the best in the class in my opinion and there's no reason to draft for need and reach for a guy at 31 when tackles and DL are way more likely to fall lower than their talent level.

If a really good right tackle falls to 31 it's a no-brainer. Protect Patrick at all costs.

Bryce Ford-Wheaton WR from West Virginia comes to mind

- 6'4" / 221 pounds
- 41" vertical
- 4.38u and 4.42u
- 10'9" broad

That seems like a good comparison. A bunch of draft Nik's have talked about his decision making being alright given how raw he is. Richardson just lacks the refinement to accurately hit his receivers, which is admittedly a big deal.

I'd definitely rather have CJ Stroud personally.

yeah im sitting over here unimpressed by richardson having a .01 faster than fields; i mean wait you absolutely should be trading up with the bears to get him!!

I didn't realize herbert was faster than Allen, though. And Richardson is a lot heavier than I expected him to be, especially since he still put up crazy numbers

Steve Smith allegedly loved Flowers, so I'm down with that. I'm also down with Smith coming onto the Ravens and just running that WR room.

I will say that there's no potential 1st round WRs that I really hate. Worst thing I can say is that Hyatt is a straight line burner, but he just gets open. Boutte was kinda underwhelming last year but w/e. At this point I'd settle for drafting someone with the mindset of 'im going to be so good that i can get drafted by baltimore and succeed anyway'

If he should fall to them whoever signs Carr to a rich 2 year contract with a bunch of fake years should draft Richardson imo.

Just in a perfect world, if Carr works out great, keep on paying him. If he doesn't you've had a couple of years to teach Richardson how to play football.

Hey look if we get him, I'd for sure being doing deep dives into QB school and other YT channels to find things to be positive about, and I would fully believe that if anyone has a staff to do it, it would probably be Carolina using a bridge QB, since their coaching staff is loving great. That being said, I'd be muuuuuch more comfortable with any of the other top 4

I don't think so, because there's so many qb needy teams that can leapfrog someone sitting pat.

Top 10 alone- houston, indy, oakland, carolina, atlanta all badly need qbs. Seattle and detroit might think about it but might also trade down.
So if the bears trade down once or twice to 4, and you're oakland at 7 and have nothing, are you going to take the risk of not trading up and seeing seattle/detroit's picks get used on qbs?

Plus if 4 qbs go in the top 5, I sure don't mind if the bears are picking 7-9 and have their choice of a ton of good offensive tackles.

Nah, because coaches aren't looking at these quarterbacks and saying they are interchangeable. They will all have their guys that they need to have. I'm just basing this on the history of the position within the draft. I honestly expect the Bears to possibly have a trade in place before the start of free agency. I'll get worried if a trade hasn't happened before the draft starts.

Good morning!
I absolutely dismissed Richardson as a possibility at 5 before, but apparently Schneider has met with him. I assumed the Hawks would go best defensive player available or trade back, but if Seattle thinks they can teach Richardson then the thought of sitting him behind Geno a year or so is tantalizing.
