The original is so loving creepy. It was painted directly onto his dining room wall and only found by his family after his death. We also don't know that it's actually Saturn as Goya did not title these works. It may just be a giant dude going to town.

The thing I've never got about that painting is that Saturn later regurgitated the children, who then became the Olympian gods. How was that supposed to happen if he'd chewed them up, like in that painting, rather than swallowed them whole?
