About right if you ask me. Yeah as a performance/street car it's janky as gently caress, but if it rolled up to the burnout comp or for a paddock bash? Send the fucker.

We had a junkyard that had once a year $50 for whatever you can hand carry out special to clear out stuff.

That's how we got banned for getting a mate and then we pile everything we wanted on top of a donor bonnet and walk it out. The next year 'it has to fit through the door, not roller.

The local that used to be open to me had a rule of 30 bucks if you carried it by hand yourself from the wheel barrow drop off to the exit gate (15 meters). Big Maori guys can carry a Holden red V8 that distance - I'll say that the guys that ran the place were good sports about it and liked to see people try and test the rule. More power to you if you can lift a V8 Commdore rearaxle single handed was their attitude

Kinda sucks for someone that needed that window tho :v:

It's a double edged sword because altho it's sometimes fun for some people not to give a gently caress and just destroy poo poo to make poo poo easier or for the hell of it, until you run across a part you needed that someone else destroyed.

Back when I drove mostly old shitbox BG Mazdas, I remember coming across a wrecked low mileage protege with MINT interior (rare in the Florida sun in an older car) that was just destroyed for no reason by someone clearly loving off dumping a bunch of oil on it and it pissed me off because I would have taken the entire interior out of it.

Pick 'n Pull here in TX doesn't even let you bring a jump box in to test poo poo (which means I test, and move power seats/windows with my drill-driver battery...) The local one is even hostile to bringing your own dolly/wagon in. The have bollards at the entrance that are only like18-20" apart. So I unloaded my dolly and picked it up over the bollards. Assholes (they want you to rent one of their two-wheel wheelbarrows.) Needless to say, I go to other yards now, especially since PNP started using a computer to price everything, as opposed the guy at the counter looking it over and tallying the big stuff - "ehhhhh, $30?" - and nickel and dime you to death.)

Awesome Auto Salvage here used to do that, but (US) $20. It did have to fit through the "people door". I carried a disc brake rearend for my RX-7 out that way. And a bunch cooling fans and misc another time - they got annoyed that I used a rear middle seatbelt (bolted the floor ends together) as a strap (rules say no ropes or chains...) but I actually needed the seatbelt. I've also used heavy power wire (wanted that, too.) I once saw a guy get a Ranger pickup bed out. He stood it on the rear end got inside, and picked it up from the front panel, overhead.
