i like the thread a lot more when it's not depicting innocent people in mortal danger "some loving idiot getting hurt or scared or inconvenienced because they did something stupid or dangerous" is fun and all but there's a pretty clear line between that and someone minding their own business nearly (or actually) dying

We once had a substitute driver for a few weeks on my bus route home from work. He was a heavily tattooed guy with enormous muscles who played heavy metal music. He got really into it and would rock the whole bus in time with the beat by gently using the brakes.  Sounds annoying but it actually ruled, it was very relaxing and the guy kept the ride perfectly smooth other than that. A real talent

I agree with that. Many years ago on a windy day the wind ripped a piece of plaster high up on a Cathedral wall and flung it down. Landed right next to me and my baby. We were unharmed but very unimpressed, much like the earlier video. Not for this thread. Today I was hammering on a steel Waratah with a sledgehammer. Kids have mislaid my eye protection AND the three spare pairs I bought in case they lost them. I used Safety squints. Very appropriate for this thread.

Yeah if you're very careful about what goes down your drains (all of them) and have a healthy septic tank to start with, they can go a surprisingly long time without needing pumping. Not forever, though.
