So regarding Tsai's US visit. Even from the article that broke it , it smelt like a semi official press from Taiwan (senior writers from Japan and Taiwan that connects to DPP, got revised very quickly to remove couple phrases that made it sound like DPP was trying to avoid confrontation w Beijing etc etc), so far I have hear very little reaction comments from the Chinese side, not even from CPC aligned youtube channels. I got a feeling Beijing decided to play it low profit and put the redlines in the actual speeches that Tsai is going to deliver in the US. And they are not even warming about potential redline stepping unlike the giant buzz before the Pelosi visit. I got to say most netizens can be manipulated by social media so easily, most of them aren't aware how big a deal this is for Tsai and how big a balance act she has to walk. It's like walking inches over the 2 elephants wresting behind her. And now I am hearing talk of Xi visiting Putin in Russia. Again just casually dash out of this news without any warming shots from the US side. Just try to contain the significance of it. I am not convinced this visit will happen. But if it does happen very quickly and it also gets minimal warmings and quotes from Belinken and Sullivan and Biden and the blob, then I think the US and China have secretly reached a deal on these 2 visits.
