At work we finally announced a collection of Group 4 and Group B rally cars we've been curating since the start of the year, consisting of a Lancia Stratos, Renault 5 Turbo 2, Citroen BX4TC, Peugeot 205 T16, and a Ford RS200 Evolution. We've got a ton of media on the cars, so here's what we've publicly shared so far. I think this is pretty AI and hope you all enjoy it! Humphreys posted:How is that 86/BRZ going? Stripped back to a shell, getting a massive cleanup and tidyup and another set of subframes to fix issues, power steering is a real problem for cooling and likes to blow its fluid, last event it oil starved due to unexpected ability to generate lateral grip and spun a bearing so it's getting a much more built motor and better baffling. You know, all the issues of a unique high effort build that would seem to be much easier solved if it was done with a multi million dollar budget. Getting the project running is one thing, as even Nik Blackhurst found out with Project Binky wild projects even really well thought out and built have a habit of biting you in the rear end to keep them running.

Richard, yes. Nik on the other hand by all accounts would be more at home with us.

I kinda felt like Project Binky was finished. I just looked and am surprised that Escargot hasn't been update in 3 years. Project Racement took up some time, but that was about two years ago at this point.

I like to imagine that they finished it, and have been driving around looking out the side window in a continual power slide ever since, giant stupid grins on their faces.

Disgruntled Bovine posted:What happened to Binky anyway? They got it running briefly for that one video but there hasn't been any real news since. Interior and electrical stuff. They're currently working on a bespoke gauge cluster, since the custom Smiths (I think it was) gauges that Nik had made don't even match each other. Nik is learning circuit design to make a flexible printed circuit like OEMs use to keep the depth of the gauges down, since there's essentially no room (as usual.)
