And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

RomanReigns is the Brad Pitt if WWE by having leading man looks leading to him being horribly miscast and hated for years. Except Roman never got past Meet Joe Black.

You are welcome in their holy places.
Even taking the definition of character actor he's implying... MJF, Orange Cassidy, Malakai Black, QT Marshall, Stokely Hathaway, Mark Sterling, The Acclaimed, Danhausen, the JAS... there's plenty of wrestlers playing characters and doing angles on AEW, too many, if anything.

EDIT: On this last two hour episode of Dynamite, there was MJF’s Re-Bar Mitzvah Celebration, a TMZ parody full of insult comedy, a rap music video, and a long term storytelling based closing chaotic brawl angle. Plus pre-tapes. That's plenty of sports entertainment.

Imagine if the Shield was John Turturro, Tony Shaloub, and Stanley Tucci.

Payback 2015 was their Big Night, Randy Orton is Ian Holm.

Which long term story? Hangman/Mox? Or Hangman/Bucks? Or Hangman/Omega? Or Hangman/DO?

Wait, I’m sensing a theme here.

I'm guessing they think it literally just means "an actor who plays a character" and not someone who is cast to play specific niche roles.

A country where you can always get richer.
I don't think most Brits who watch AEW watch it at 1pm when it airs live on FITE. I would bet that the majority probably watch it on ITV4, 2 days afterwards, though they may not talk about it online that much. I cannot offer any conjecture on how this would make them feel about the continuing story of The Elite.

WWE's four pillars?

Seeing that MJF, Darby, Sammy and Jungle Boy are AEW's four pillars. Who would you consider to be the four pillars in WWE today?

quote:

You don't need pillars for a building that's already built.

The load-bearing superstars were installed years ago.

The question/pillars talk is dumb but the spirit of the question was obviously who are the next generation of stars in WWE?

It would be embarrassing to admit they haven’t built any new stars and their candidates they’ve invested the most in are basically Dominik Mysterio and Austin Theory. Montez Ford DOES have that potential, however, he’s in his 4th year on the main roster of “about to be a star!” and doing food poisoning storylines. Bron and Melo are commonly cited because they haven’t taken and failed the main roster test yet.

So of course the correct answer to the question is we don’t need new stars
