Even taking the definition of character actor he's implying... MJF, Orange Cassidy, Malakai Black, QT Marshall, Stokely Hathaway, Mark Sterling, The Acclaimed, Danhausen, the JAS... there's plenty of wrestlers playing characters and doing angles on AEW, too many, if anything. EDIT: On this last two hour episode of Dynamite, there was MJF’s Re-Bar Mitzvah Celebration, a TMZ parody full of insult comedy, a rap music video, and a long term storytelling based closing chaotic brawl angle. I don't think most Brits who watch AEW watch it at 1pm when it airs live on FITE. I would bet that the majority probably watch it on ITV4, 2 days afterwards, though they may not talk about it online that much. I cannot offer any conjecture on how this would make them feel about the continuing story of The Elite.
