philly rules but what they don't mention is that's at 10th and chestnut and you will likely be robbed and/or stabbed by a meth addict if you walk around by yourself any time after dark. it's not a safe neighborhood.

not really joking either. someone was stabbed to death one or two blocks up and over in broad daylight a month or two ago

my parents just sold their house in that neighborhood because the house got shot up in a driveby (they were shooting a guy in a car parked out front), and my sister still lives there and just sent us a doorbell cam video of her next door neighbor getting carjacked and run over in broad daylight like in GTA

houses are nice though, so it’s impossible to say whether philly is good or bad

Gentrification is such a weird capitalist phenomenon.

Under no other system could the act of moving into a poorer neighborhood somehow harm the people who live there. It's insane that the evil exists only because the profit motive drives up rent.

most people are shocked that the infrastructure sucks dick. none of the roads are in good condition and the internet is slow. My friends mom came from china to see a specialist and they stayed in the hospital and got billed like $100,000 and it completely shattered their view of reality. I think their chinese insurance covered it tho lmao

edit:nobody ever mentioned the homelessness and the criminalization of mental health and drug issues. the europeans who are proud their country is better on that stuff don't come to LA I guess.

Blackrock angle with CS / UBS merger becomes clearer:

Hildebrand was on the Swiss National Bank board of governors from 2003 - 2012, and was the head of the bank from 2010 to 2012, and had to resign when an investigation was opened into his wife's foreign currency trading lol

I went for an extended visit to Japan a few years a back to visit some relatives, and the cultural shellshock from coming back here to cops walking around the airport with drug dogs while terrorism warnings blared out over the PA and driving back to my apartment through the crumbling infrastructure and garbage piles and everywhere was pretty crazy, and I've lived here my entire life.

living in the ghetto aint no joke. definitely an exciting time all around if you're into it I guess.

story time from my last apartment

one time i saved a woman from her abusive boyfriend. i was watching tv with the spouse real late when we hear screaming for help down the hall. opening the door the first thing i see is her face covered in blood and then we let her inside as the police show up. that wasn't the only we did that for someone there either.

there was also the time someone was murdered in the parking lot. the murderer is still loose since the cops arrested the wrong guy, go figure.

sadly we had to leave since some crazy fucks were threatening to kill us and the cops wouldn't do jack poo poo.

in taiwan I got lost when I first moved there, taxi took me to the middle of nowhere when I wanted to get my visa renewed, and I went into a police station which was the only thing near me and asked where I was, if the visa thing was close by. The police drove me like 30 minutes to the visa building on the other side of town, I rode in front, and the officer came inside, and translated for me.

ok now imagine you just entered the USA

yes private charity is an extremely powerful social force for good, for example just look at how printing trillions of dollars to improve corporate bottom lines helped corporations reduce homelessness with all their extra money while still reporting record profits and stock buy backs

Thousands of people are believed to have lost their savings after investing in a cryptocurrency trading app called iEarn Bot.

Experts who have investigated the company say it could be one of the largest crypto scandals to date.

Trading in cryptocurrencies has become popular, with people often promised large rewards over short periods.

But law enforcement agencies warn of a growing number of scams and recommend investors conduct "due diligence".
