Jumped back in after not playing since yesterday.. lost/retreated 8 in a row. God drat I suck rear end at this stupid game  I get some of the most irritating assholes spamming emotes at me too. Thanks for spamming “I’m losing” and ms marvel at me after lucking out on a win due to your lockjaw magically producing a card to beat me on the last turn, my guy.

Well, I found my solution to gaining ranks again. More Power. I've gained 17 ranks since last night, might get another bump before the reset. Venom/Absorbing Man, meet Kingpin.

I filled out the survey that they sent out yesterday, and there were at least two "suggestions" for Premium Emotes/Avatar audibles. So, yeah, Global Mute would be great.

Why isn't anyone looking to nerf that garbage if you're not playing cards like the new one that can add chaff to the opponent's hand, just assume the opponent is going to win that lane and either abandon it entirely or use aero/magneto/etc to pull their other cards over to that lane

It sometimes feels like the entire game revolves around countering certain cards in the opponent's deck. What does your deck do if the opponent is running Dracula? Galactus? Thanos? Aero? Killmonger? Shang-Chi? Unless you're running a top tier deck yourself it feels like you can only securely win if your opponent is making a serious mistake.

Dracula isn’t a problem at loving all, imo. I’ll admit we all have that card that just pisses us off. Leader had me fuming back when it was a card until I finally pulled it and lost a shitload using him. That taught me the card’s flaws.

My biggest problem with Dracula is that MODOK makes him feel super oppressive, especially since MODOK is a paid card right now. Unless you're playing a hand interaction deck - and you're probably not, because that archetype is not good - they're going to get an almost guaranteed 16 power minimum that you can't respond to.

Yeah, I win a decent number of my gotLeeched games but I never enjoy them. I'd rather have "You can't play cards here" over "You can play cards anywhere but they don't do cool stuff anymore."

Dracula is kind of like Wong in that he's a massive telegraph but stopping him requires manipulating last turn priority with shang chi vs just playing one of many tech cards to rid yourself of wong. The fact that he's so telegraphed but largely untouchable other than by other meta combos and/or with tier 4 cards means that unless you can put out lane +16 he's basically something you have to play around vs something you can play against, unless you get lucky by having shang chi in your hand, losing t6 priority and not needing more than 2-3 energy to win another lane.

Huh, apparently I got out of pool 3 back on the 15th, with Magik as my last one. I've been playing with the snap.pro overlay and it's really useful to be able to see exactly what decks are doing well for you, and what aren't. I built a magneto/devil dinosaur one that has a 65% win rate in 43 games, seems pretty decent! +38 cubes, averaging 0.88cube/game right now. Gotta love it when people rope you on 6 and snap with the Thanos emoji. Especially when you snap back and win and they just leave. Not even a fist bump. In other news, Surfer is fun to play again. It sometimes amazes me how cards that were toxic as gently caress a couple of months ago are now just good cards.

I don't think having a "universal one drop" is a good thing for the game. I support the game having more strong, but restrictive, 1-cost cards like Human Torch and Zero instead.

Sunspot's fine. I think the highest power he can get to is 21, and that's if you play him T1 and then zero other cards for the rest of the game. There are several common ways for opponents to neutralize him. He's pool 2 and I think it's good for new players to have early access to useful, versatile cards.
