I also had a rough time getting into fortnite, it's a lot of stuff to understand with the pressure of there being 99 dudes out to kill you, and it was sensory overload of pop culture, but I'm glad my nephew kept wanting to play with me because like five matches later I got very comfortable in that game and now I'll pop it every other week. I should load it up now to get the basement key from Attack on Titan on my goku

THanks, but i was predisposed to dislike the game anyway, I don't like competitive games. but it was talked up so drat much on that show that even knowing I wouldn't like i still dropped ten bucks on a skin before I even played because those are the exact type of mtx that cut through all my defenses. Midnight Suns is my game of the year. poo poo just clicks, I love it, I think it's worth full prize. The Abbey stuff kinda drags but I love doing the missions over and over and over.

if you think theres not enough characters in the game, get it I guess. As it is without any DLC the game was just a tiny bit overlong for me without even chatting up everyone to full friendship. Also if you get the dlc you get morbius lmao.

Does feel like the game could use a little more of a balanced ratio between the gents and the ladies but that said I don't know whom they'd add. Elsa Bloodstone maybe but I have to imagine they already had to fight for whomever the execs considered 'obscure.'

I believe that it's happening since it's basically the #2 guy at videogames (and all the other media they consider too new) at Paramount. But the interview deffo reeks of the ink barely drying and it not being in active development quite yet. It'll be a few years before we know if this is a cool thing or if it's some small studio trying to punch way above their weight.

Apparently it was listed as beta on the in game title screen but literally nobody assumed that meant 'we are taking away access after taking your money' vs 'It will eventually roll out a 1.0' like every other game like this

Open beta Then seasons, the game version would be (season number).# in updates, the most recent was version 2.3 They cleverly never actually dropped the open beta wording, but also never put it front and center. You were allowed to spend a lot of money into the game, including the 100 dollar edition https://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/multiversus/ So, they technically never lied, but nobody thought of the game as beta these past six months.

I don't know of many, if any, betas that were available for like a year, took money, and then one day just said "beta's over! we're going offline now, see you in a year for the full release!" Just taking the game down for like a year is loving weird, especially since it's been taking money.

That's crazy. I mean there's plenty of those "early access" games that aren't technically out yet, but they eventually just turn into real games, they don't go offline for 9+ months. It's either going out behind the woodshed, comes back as something completely different and nobody plays it, or comes back as the same game and nobody plays it
