Inspired by the earlier discussion in the thread today I tried to give cooking borscht a try. For a first attempt it was actually really good! I was surprised because I haven't really liked beats the few times I've had them. Lessons for next time would be to try to slice the veggies thinner, cut the potatoes smaller and use less cabbage.

Aikido has a pretty solid track record for its effectiveness in real combat situations. There are many real world examples but just to pick ultimate fighting as a litmus test, at no point has a top 100 fighter in the sport used the technique.

I miss mine flail tanks, where you have a big spinning drum on the front with chains and beaters on which hit the ground ten metres in front of the tank to detonate or crush mines without risk to the vehicle. They were very, very good at clearing mines, like 100% success rate good, but had a unique problem that they would occasionally flick live mines out of the ground and fling them hundreds of metres, potentially into friendly troops.
