I'm not a fascist. I'm a priest. Fascists dress up in black and tell people what to do.
This Planck-oh sister stuff is super creepy IMO and as far as I know the comic showed them meet once and it was ambiguos what Planck thought about this whole notion, IIRC he looked shocked? Since then I dunno if they have even met again? I keep getting the impression the relationship is all in the head of this girl.

That third panel of the first comic just makes it. It's still funny if you remove it, but that panel included just makes it top tier.

He was shocked because he thought he was meeting Maggie. Then he put on a happy face and went on a date and Maggie’s Sister (whose name I forget) kinda went all in on it being real and not a big act that Planck’s putting on.

Something possessed me to check in on the Sunday strip. By '41 was ghosted by Neg Cochran, Williams' longtime assistant and the first of the post-Williams primary artists for OOW. I'm not sure how far back he was doing Sundays, but by this point something was a little bit...um...off.

(June 1, 1941, but the San Jose News didn't do a Sunday edition, so they published their color comics on Saturdays.)

Cats lying around barely acknowledging each other's existence. Looks like a typical cat playdate to me.

Gift cards send the strange message that you trust someone to choose their own gift but not which store to buy it from.

Or, alternately, that you don't trust them not to spend it on drugs.
